“We talk to ourselves incessantly about our world. In fact we maintain our world with our internal talk. And whenever we finish talking to ourselves about ourselves and our world, the world is always as it should be. We renew it, we rekindle it with life, we uphold it with our internal talk. Not only that, but we also choose our paths as we talk to ourselves. Thus we repeat the same choices over and over until the day we die, because we keep on repeating the same internal talk over and over until the day we die. A warrior is aware of this and strives to stop his internal talk.
The “internal dialogue” is what grounds people in the daily world. The world is such and such or so and so, only because we talk to ourselves about its being such and such or so and so. The passageway into the world of shamans opens up after the warrior has learned to shut off his internal dialogue.(…)
Our fellow men are black magicians. And whoever is with them is a black magician on the spot. Think for a moment. Can you deviate from the path that your fellow men have lined up for you? And if you remain with them, your thoughts and your actions are fixed forever in their terms. That is slavery. The warrior, on the other hand, is free from all that. (…) So, fear your captors, your masters. Don’t waste your time and your power fearing freedom.
Whenever the internal dialogue stops, the world collapses, and extraordinary facets of ourselves surface, as though they had been kept heavily guarded by our words.”
Carlos Castaneda: The Wheel of Time
For all of us there is a script, a narrative that we play over and over like actors in the theater of reality. This script has been printed in us early in life and we already know where, in most cases, it leads to. Usually the end of the road is frustration, sadness, confusion, the loss of our physical and mental health…
Life goes by very quick and as we grow older, the path narrows…
This is the programm from which we need to escape, and the first thing we must do is to know our equipment.
During 7 days and 7 nights, we will take the time to make a pause and to explore with movements, astrological teachings and observation of our life, the working of our minds.
Both individually and in a group we will work on our astrological charts. We will learn to decipher some of the old symbols and understand how they apply to our own lives.
We will focus on the influence of the planet Mercury.
In ancient mythlogy, Mercury is the God of communication, exchanges, business, medecine, sports, knowledge…
Mercury is also the mind. His Greek name: Hermès refers to secret knowledge and his Egyptian name Thoth refers the foundations of the old knowledge.
We will study how this planet appeared in the sky the day we were born, as well as the astrological houses and signs that are in connection to it.
We will use specific series of movements from the Toltec Tradition to help us quiet our minds and access deep inside this invisible part of us that can detach itself from the concerns of our day to day self and become just an observer. We will look back at our life and the movements will help us to restructure our energy and redirect our consciousness.
For a moment we may be able to neutralize the influences of the planets, so that, with a new perspective and more understanding of the picture of the sky, a slightly new script can be eventually written.
